for those with Virb Edit already installed - open Virb Edit, click on About in the top right hand corner of the programme and it should trigger off the downloading of the update...well at least it did for me this morning :)

    cheers

Thank you for the new release. Export issues have been fixed.
  • installed the new version this morning. Now when I playback a video it doesn't play smooth at all ( it stutters and hangs all the time), which was all fine in the previous version. Anymore users who experience the same problem with 2.6.2?

I have the same problem. VE 2.5.1 played really smooth full hd video in preview and everywhere. With Virb Edit 2.6.2 video playback is really stuttered and hangs all the time. Problems are with clips and with the edit preview.

I tried to update, but the Windows version demands I use the \user\admin... folder for updating. However, I don't use an English language installation of Windows and, if I'm not mistaken, the English \user\admin... folder name seems to be hardwired into the update code instead of the generic standard replacement %% codes. If so: come folks, that would be a real "duuh".

Now I'm stuck and can't go forward or back. Chosing the correct folder doesn't work; the installation refuses to use it and insists on \user\admin... I did a complete new installation and that worked initially, but after rebooting I'm back to "please choose ..." followed by an abort. Something's been written into the windows registry and I don't want to kill my machine by venturing in the regedit area blindfolded.

How do I get out of this? A the moment I have to reinstall the hardware everytime I want to use it.

NB: I'm a fan, use this software a lot, and have about 50 videos online. Just look up the youtube channels "Münster Rides" and "Münster Rennradstrecken"

I'm experiencing crashes when I try to Export with this version, I removed the overlays and the file exports OK, the file size stays the same (1.05gb)

Hi. I am having the same issues with video playback being all jerky after installing the update. The other issue i am having is virb edit won't let me put music to a video. It recognises the music file but when you go into choose a track the file is blank! When you open the file outside of virb edit you can select a track and play it!

For those of you who are experiencing choppy video playback, can you post which system specs you have? Which CPU, and which graphics card?

We've tested the installer on German machines and it works for us. Would you mind posting a screenshot of the error you are seeing?

I'd also try to re-download the installer just in case: http://www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=6591.
