Version 2.6.1 Beta can be downloaded at http://developer.garmin.com/apps/Virb/download/win/VirbBETA_2.6.1.exe.

Added clip transitions
Added ability to share on Facebook
Added ability to export at different frame rates
Added export video size estimate
Added dialog to view clip properties
Added gauges that went missing in the last release
Fixed title positions changing when exporting or reloading a video
Fixed an issue where duration and elapsed time would not work properly across clip boundaries
Fixed Baidu maps potentially not loading in China
Fixed some memory usage issues during export
Fixed performance and reliability of video player
Fixed out-of-memory issue that could occur when too many tracks were loaded

This beta will not overwrite your current installation and will run alongside 2.5.x. A new database will be created that will not use any of your existing data. This database is for testing purposes only and will be lost when you receive the official release of 2.6.x. We are doing this beta to test our completely rewritten video player and want to be sure that we have a smooth 2.6 release.

Please add any feedback directly to this thread.

Are you exporting a video with a bunch of clips? If so, we have that issue fixed locally. If it is happening for all of your exports, we would appreciate any further details you have about the issue.

No matter if I create a movie from single clip or more segments. Always the same.
  • Still can't see any video or graphic in Virb Edit. Position Coordinates work OK. Demo video plays fine but imported Virb MP4 Files show no video but sound works OK. Files play OK on Windows player and TV media player.

hmmm...seems I found the solution for my export problem thanks to Falagar's post about export issues - added VirbEdit to BitDeffender's VAC list. I have a 15% now and it still working with a single file. Will see how it goes with bunch of clips.

Same problem here, software crashes when trying to export a video.
  • Why aren't you using the Mac version? It's more advanced and also more reliable than the Windows alternative.

Or maybe you are, but you posted in the wrong area?

That would be an option to avoid the Win7 3.5GB limit... sounds interesting ;)

I was asking Mac, whose configuration seemed to indicate he was on a Mac. The rest of you Windows people are lost souls. ;) I was one too, once upon a time. LOL

But I see now that a Yoga 2 Pro is a Lenovo machine. My bad.

Yep, windows 8.1 3200x1800 display. Love the machine, but im not liking my virb as I cant upload any of the videos I created while on vacation. It is rather disappointing.

Be patient ;) had so much issues that almost got rid of the Virb, now I have the 3rd one and after last firmware update it works like a charm, esspecialy with recent beta 2.6. Try reinstalling codecs and make a deep forum search , You might be surprised to find a solution in an unexpected place. Think positive :)

Thaks you all folks, I hope you could help to create an stable virb edit, because nowday its very frustrating not being able to export or share my videos. I am a poor soul W7 64bits, and i have 15 videos, after long days and nights I have being able to export only one. I don`t have the time to try it all again with th 2.6, so i hope you can help on this and we get a new better edit version for the rest of the community.

Thanks to the testers, and vitamins to the developers. Maybe we would be able to edit our summer videos with a new nice version.

    thanks.
