I bought my Garmin Virb Elite as a Christmas present for myself (it was too expensive to be bought as a regular shopping...) I bought it on black friday, but waited until Christmas to begin to use it, so I was looking forward to begin using it.
At the first time I expercienced some failures in the camera and in the Virb Edit software, but I minimized the failures thinking people on Garmin were still working in the software.
Before each new version I hoped that the failures were fixed, but after each new version I've been reluctant to think this software will ever work as expected.
Now, after more than half a year of using Virb Edit I'm really disappointed.
There has been so many times in which I did a bike ride, went to the beach with my kids, run a race... thinking only on the video that I will record. Then I spent hours working with Virb Edit to have a fantastic clip to share with my people. And each time they were wasted hours. There is no chance to have an exported video...
I supose that people in Virb Edit Team are working hard to fix all the problems, but maybe the problem is inside Garmin itself. Do you use your product? Do you even believe in it? Have you put in this "project" enough resources? For instance, why we still don't have an specific forum for Virb camera itself?
Recently I've seen the prices of Virb falling... It makes me think that Garmin is giving up on GoPro.
So even that we will have Virb Edit 2.6 version that maybe will fix some of the bugs, the question is: in the mid-term will Garmin still work on Virb?
I think that people who invested they money and time in this product deserve an honest answer about what are Garmin plans for Virb, not only the hardware, but the software.
