Virb Edit - Does not display sensor data: heart rate and cadance

On the latest version of the Virb Edit 2.5.1.0 does not display my sensor data: heart rate and cadence.

Before going on a bicycle ride, I have ensured that my heart rate and garmin cadence/speed sensor are paired. Later looking the video on Virb Edit the sensors data are not showed. I looked at activity file and it shows the sensors data.

Please fix the issue on Virb Edit. If there is a setting that I need to change on my end, please let me know.

Thanks.

    Does not display where ?
Have you read up on overlays ?

    - It does not display in the Virb Edit. However it displays the distance, speed and map.
    - My expectation is Virb Edit should also show heart rate and cadence data without downloading the overlays.
    - I read about the overlays and downloaded it. I followed the instructions but I was not successful in integrating it on Virb Edit. Frankly, I think the instructions should be cleared. Anyway by now, those overlays should had been already integrated within Virb Edit.

you don't have to download any overlays, they are ALREADY part of Virb Edit.

    - Clip on 'Create Video' and add the video clips that you want.
    - look at this pic and take note of the icons circled with the numbers 1, 2 and 3. (
    - find the gauges that are the style you want and then drag and drop them onto the video preview at the top left hand side of Virb Edit.

    cheers

Thank you. I got it. Your insight was very valuable. I was looking at the gauges on the raw video instead on the 'new create video'.

I am having serious problem with VIRB Edit. After 2.6 update my gauges are just idle...no value at ALL!! (in Create video). So when I click the plus icon to create a new video and drag a clip in the gauges (all of the gauges) just stay null with no values. And it usually happens with the first clip recorded. The second clip will occasionally display values, but the first clip NEVER does. What in the world? Help!? :(
  • In https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?99459-VIRB-Edit-2-6-0-Released, GEOMONSTER reports that trimming a little off the clip restored the data. Try that and see what happens. You can always undo the trim.
  • Trimming a little worked for one clip, but not for others with the same problem, for me.

So the problem is in both versions, Mac and Windows?

I am running Mac and I am having problems with 2.60. I have trimmed a little bit and that may or may not allow a video to display gauges for several minutes, but even the videos that start displaying gauges after trimming the video will stop displaying gauges half way through.

It stops displaying all gauges or just the ones that depend on ANT+ data? If the latter and you're using a VIRB Elite, it may have lost your ANT+ sensors while recording, which happens all too often using the 3.8 firmware.

which happens all too often using the 3.8 firmware.

since firmware 3.8, my Zumo 390 couldn't get a connection for more than 10sec anymore (for remote controlling the Virb).
Garmin fixed that in a new firmware for the Zumo!
I hope we don't need new firmwares for all our sensors! (would that even be possible?)
