Trouble importing clips

Anyone have trouble manually importing clips into VE 2.5
I am getting a message that the ibrary is updated (0/1) but it is not working. These are mp4 that I can play in a media viewer.

This problem is with virb and any other mp4 files.

Hmm, I thought we had fixed that in 2.5. You are sure this happens with VIRB originals?

I am having the same issue with mp4 clips recorded on a Flip Ultra (3rd gen), 1280x720, 60 fps, 2 channel audio. I try to import them using the Import Other... feature in Virb Edit, can select them but it shows "Library Updated (0/1)" when complete, which takes only milliseconds. I have tried single files and multiple, same result, except (0/2), (0/3) etc. when doing multiple. I have tried Import Only and Copy Clips to my Virb folder, same result. I have tried from several different folders, same result. I have tried with the Virb Elite connected and not connected, same result.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Try converting them (see link in post above) from MP4 to MP4 (x264/aac).
Besides my VIRB Elite, I'm using a RoadHawk Ride (RHR).
The RHR saves it's video as .MOV .
VIRB Edit can't import .MOV's so I have to convert it to MP4.
For the conversion I need to select the x264 video codec and the aac audio codec.
    Other combinations won't work.

I see know I am not alone. My symptom is exactly as described in #4 (rob) when I try to first copy in my VIRB memory card to hard drive or any other MP4. VE shouldn't need a conversion for virb generated clips right? I wish someone could help because I cannot import any clip from ANY source. I have tried every combination. The virb is connected, VE recognizes it, the folder structure is good, VIRB clips are there, but it shows 0 news clips and therefore forces me to select import other. Then it fails as in #4 above.

VIRB clips normally don't need converting.

Just a thought, but problably you've already looked at it... Is there enough space on your HardDrive?
In the past (older versions) I noticed not all clips in a batch were imported (some were).
Sometimes I had to try it twice although nothing was changed to the clip.

Last comment here was half a year ago, but the problem seems remaining till now. Here illustrated is the response when I try to import an .MP4 video, in many sizes from 240*320 to 1080. None of them worked, and just showing 0/1 import complete.
I've tried to reinstal, restart computer, neither worked.
I've also check the hardware space. The software setup doesn't supply any option in installment location, and automatically put in C disk. I have 30Gb space left, so it shouldn't be of not enough space. Maybe the bug hasn't been worked out in 2.5 yet.
I don't know any way to solve this. Any tips or advice?
    Appreciated!

Sorry, just to mension that my computer system is in Chinese, and so is the VIRB software. It doesn't provide any choice of language when installing.

    Garmin,

    I am stuck.
Can you offer any help or advice with this problem?
    Can you duplicate it?
Would this generate a log that may help troubleshooting?

We are still looking into this.

Make sure you have the newest version (2.5.1 currently).

Another thing to try would be to change the clip library location in settings and see if that fixes anything.
