Another thing.. When clips are imported, the time and date are changed to the current.
Can you make VIRB Edit import the clips, keeping the original time and date?

Is that a new issue that appears in 2.5 but not 2.4.? It's definitely not supposed to change the date and time on import.
  • Any idea how can I troubleshoot a persistent problem from previous versions still showing on 2.5? problem is when adding Gauges only the last dragged Gauge keeps visible, when moving Gauges on preexisting Templates, only a first drag movement is "allowed", if I try to apply a second drag movement, or click on a part of the video with no Gauges, the rest of the Gauges disappear.
A necessary workaround has been setting the desired Gauge setup on another older Windows 7 computer and loading the saved template into the newest Windows 8 computer, so that it can be selected without touching the Gauges,
I am running a fairly new Dell Laptop 8Gb RAM with Core i7 processor, Intel HD Graphics, and Windows 8.1 64-bit

I will have a look how 2.4 acts, my laptop still runs 2.4.
It was something I noticed yesterday when looking in the directory where VE imports the clips.
So maybe it happened all the time.
I looking for a clip made on a specific time, so in the directory I sorted the clips by time.
Clipnumbers are of no use as the VIRB resets to 001 every time the SD is wiped.

Out of interest, how are you mounting the VIRB in the shot shown there ?
Maybe we should have a mounting ideas / tips / tricks thread ...

  • Hmmm, can't get 2.5 to install on my Windows 7 machine for some reason, I keep getting this error message when I run the installation program.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

Time (and date) are changed by VIRB Edit when importing (and renaming).
    On my VIRB Elite:

    Renaming by VIRB Elite:

As renamed in the imported clips directory:

VIRB Edit 2.4.0 is also changing the time (and date) to the time of importing/renaming.

Are you talking about the date and time of the files themselves?

The clips should show up properly sorted in the clips library for year, month and day of the original recording. Can you confirm that?

But you'd like the imported files to be reset to the recording date and time?
