Hust got the Virb Elite and am trying to import my first videos and all of the sudden my virb will shut down. It is on the 3.20 firmware and it only happens when I am importing into Virb Edit.
It's a known problem. Please file a complaint here: http://www.garmin.com/us/support I already did a while ago and others also complained about it. I've noticed when the battery is fully charged, the rate of succes to get the VIRB into storidge mode goes up sharply. Ofcource it's ridiculous that you first have to charge the battery (max 5 hours) before you have access to the µSD.
Only way to do it, is to copy from the internal card onto PC and then import from PC instead of Virb. Thing is the virb keeps shutting itself off, but this way you can turn on and resume copy.
Come on Garmin fix the dam virb firmware or it's going back for a Pro
