Music not being output over 2 video segments

Hi All,
I used Virb edit to create a 15 second clip for Instagram, where I joined two videos (I have tried a splitting a video with the same result) and overlayed a 15 second music mp3. Inside Virb Edit, the video works fine with the music but when Exporting to 720 (I have tried other resolutions too) the sound cuts out half way through the clip. Here is the example http://instagram.com/p/mHxgt_Iobb/

Any ideas?

I am not able to reproduce this behavior.

Are you using version 2.4.0? Does the sound cut out when you play the video on your Windows computer as well? Or only after you upload it to Instagram?

As a side note, can you add the ability that the export remembers the last directory path used. It's really annoying to have to browse to the same path every time you make a mod and export.
    Cheers

We should be able to get that done.

This is getting weird. Now I am getting 16x video when I select 8x. I am on Windows 8.1 64bit and use Windows media play to view the video.
    I can reproduce it by
    - create video and drag new video into window
    - select anywhere, trim left. select 90 seconds further, trim right
    - add music (I use 15 sec mp3)
    - make video 8x speed
    - export at 720
    - play in windows media player

I notice the video speed is twice as fast, music only gets half way because of that, and if you use the distance overlay, its all out.

To make it interesting and now I see how I got the final result, when I run it through AVS4you conversion program which I use to crop the video to fit in Instagram (720 x 720), the video goes back to normal speed (15 secs) but the music is only played for 7.5 secs. So what I originally thought was being caused by the split, seems to be because of 8x speed video output or...? Using no music seems fine and I am trying to find a work around
    ..

I am still having trouble to reproduce this. The gauge and track data for sped-up videos is wrong in 2.4, that one is a known issue.

But my exports always seem to run the appropriate time. What are the source videos your are using? Which recording setting?

    HI Dev,
This issue is starting to frustrate. Every time I change the speed, the output is out of synch - meaning the music doesnt match and the data doesnt either, yet in the preview its fine. The resultant video shows the data running at normal speed ith the video is 8x sped up. With Music overlay, the video seems to run at 16x. I can workaround the music by using another video editor but i cant workaround the data overlays.

So if you cant reproduce this issue it has to be my environment. Either my OS, the video output configuration/tool that you use or the player. I can rule out the player because its the same with three different players (Quicktime, Windows Media, AVS). I have also output to youtube with the same result.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Virb Edit. Any other things to try?
    Thanks

The gauges being out of sync when you change the playback speed is a known issue, we will be fixing it for 2.5.

What I cannot reproduce is the music skipping out if you use 2 clips.

I was able to export a video with 2x speed with music. Is the original video from a VIRB? Does the music export when you play it at normal speed? What player do you use to play back the exported video?

I'd really like to reproduce this so we can fix it.

Thanks for the update, I'll have an engineer take a look at this.
