error playing video.

Afternoon all,

Got my VIRB Elite a few days ago and have taken a few short videos and imported into VIRB Edit, each one (short or long) gets the same "error playing video" message. VIRB Edit appears to freeze, though it will eventually shut down.

I have a Toshiba Protégé R835-P84 with an Intel Core i5 processor running Windows 8.1 64 bit with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 card.

The computer originally came with Windows 7.

I can play the videos on the camera or outside of VIRB Edit.

Videos appear to import without a problem and are shown within VIRB Edit (the first frame) but none will play.

I have updated the graphics drivers to the latest version to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I had high hoped for this camera for cycling and sailing, but if I can't view or edit the videos!

These are completely different things. The Welcome video is just a YouTube video inside a browser window.

Your VIRB videos use our own player.

I am having problems as well. I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX675MX card in my laptop with the newest drivers. I actually updated to the beta drivers to see if that would help.

    This is what I'm getting.

I am also having a problem running Virb Edit on My Toshiba Laptop (Portege R930 Intel HD Graphics 4000).
At the suggestion of support, I just upgraded my video drivers, and I am running 2.5.0.0. Still get the problem.

I see the videos after import, but as soon as I try to play I get the following....

    App: VIRB Edit
    At: 10/06/2014 12:20:37 PM (UTC10)
    OS: Windows 7 (64-bit) Service Pack 1
    Processor: x86, Processor Level: 6, Processors:2, Model: 58 Stepping: 9, RAM: 8263824
    DIRECT2D.DIRECTXLAYERFACTORY_T.{CTOR}-1833-2.5.0.0

External component has thrown an exception.
    at Direct2D.DirectXLayerFactory_t.{ctor}(DirectXLayerFactory_t* )
    at Overlays.OverlayControllerImpl_t.OnLoaded
    .....

Works on my desktop Mac, but going on a biking holiday soon, with my new Garmin Virb and I need to be able to edit on the laptop.

    Regards
    Neil
