VIRB Edit displaying two windows and showing only 1-2 inches of the top

When trying to play back any video file captured on my VIRB Elite, map data shows up, speed, altitude, etc. all display, except video. The video is (a) in two, side-by-side windows and (b) each window is approximately 1-1.5 inches of the top-most part of the video (if it were actually displaying correctly).

I have uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled VIRB Edit twice with no luck. There's little need for a VIRB if you have telemetry and can't show a video. A GoPro Hero3 would do the video just fine. My VIRB has the latest firmware and I am running the latest version of VIRB Edit.

My PC configuration:

Windows 7
i7-3770K Intel CPU @ 3.50GHz
32 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 video card

This is exceedingly frustrating. I expected a great deal better from Garmin as all my other Garmin products are stellar. Any assistance would be welcomed.

I am having the same issue. Virb Edit 2.4.0
Nvidia GT540M with an Intel HD 3000 integrated video card (optimus technology) nvidia driver version 335.23 on windows 7 x64 sp1, directx 11.
I've tried forcing Virb edit to use the Intel card and the Nvidia card, neither works correctly. I get the 1-2 inches of mangled video at the top in a steroscopic type view.

If I open the video using VLC or other video player the video plays fine(no overlays of course). Something with the virb edit software is not working properly.

Virb edit 2.5.0 Problem still exists. Virb Edit is unusable.
