Can't open edited video

I've started to edit my video but suddenly it won't let me play it and when I try to open downloaded clips - it says they've been moved or deleted!! Any suggestions please.
Where are the videos saved as you are producing them - I can't find it.

On your hard-drive, did you delete or rename any of the clips that you imported?

By default, if you import from your VIRB, the clips are copied into your 'My Videos\Virb' directory. You can adjust that folder in your VIRB Edit settings.

If you manually imported clips, they reside wherever they were when you imported them.

VIRB Edit does NOT copy all your clips into some hidden location. (That would take way too much space as video files tend to be very large.) So if you delete or rename the videos on your hard-drive that VIRB Edit uses, it won't be able to find them anymore.

Thanks for your reply. i've managed to open the clips but not the video I've started editing. I can't see a file of my video name in that directory- although the clips are there. When I click on the video I get a magnifying glass with a question mark. I've not moved or deleted anything.

All your clips play? None of them displays a question mark when you hover over them in the clips library?

That's it! For some reason it lost one of the clips- no idea why. It's working again now. Thanks VERY much for your help.

You're very welcome. Glad you got it to work. And we should probably make it easier for the user to find out which clip is missing when a video doesn't play because of a missing clip.
