Time lapse issues

I tried out time lapse (every 30 seconds) over the weekend which worked well but I still had a few issues

Battery saving - I assume there is no battery saving with time lapse because my battery died after about 2.5 hours. Are there any plans to allow it to go into sleep mode between shots?

GPS track - The GPS track doesn't seem to work, though this seems to be being worked on - https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?71348-Time-lapse-and-GPS-ANT-data-synchronization&highlight=time+lapse

Slo-mo - The video is great but it's a little fast (11 seconds for 2.5 hours). Is there a way to slow down the video before publishing?

In Virb Edit you can slow it right down. I wish we could slow it even more, though.

Only found that now, thanks. It's actually slow enough for this video but I guess it wouldn't hurt to go slower if needed.

Alternatively, if you need the video to run "slower" (i.e. longer), decrease the interval between photos. This will result in a longer video and smoother transitions.

If there is no power saving options currently then I may as well record in normal speed and then enable increased speed on the playback, at least then the GPS would work.

At the cost of a much larger video file... I am running out of space so I opt for the time lapse a lot of the time.

But the track/gps feature still works with a time lapse video, in my camera.

Are you saying it doesn't on yours?

It shows a GPS track but it's not correct. A 2.5 hour cycle becomes a 10 second video with a time lapse of 30 seconds. The GPS track seems to be first 10 seconds of my cycle, not the whole 2.5 hour trip.

What version of the firmware are you at on that camera? I have 3.20 and time lapse works just fine for me. Here's an example:
