Still losing video/data :(

Ride yesterday, had it set for 10min looping.

It got hard stuck in record mode at one point. Lost quite a bit.
It also had issues recording data. Most of the video I did get was missing GPS/speed/cadence data.
When I got it home to sync. The Virb wouldn't even talk to my PC. I rebooted and powered off, and powered on, etc with no avail. Until I noticed when I unplugged it, the battery display wasn't going away.... totally stuck. I had to pull the battery to drop all power. Then it synced.

Here is the segment that did get data!

I am sorry to hear that.

I assume you are running the latest 3.20 firmware?

This is really outside my area of expertise (I am not involved with the hardware or firmware), but I'll forward this to the firmware guys. If you want to tackle this from more sides, I'd go ahead and contact product support about this as well. They might also point you to the device's logs that could help the firmware developers figure out what might have gone wrong.

I stopped using the Looping mode due to how unreliable it was. Gave up because I kept loosing a lot of footage.

There was a recent firmware update. So I thought I'd give it another try on a easy roll around town today. Flawless operation. Stopped and restarted several time while in Looping mode. Nailed every one, kept all data.
   !

I thought this looping mode was intended to keep the last minutes or so (what you set it to do) and forget all it recorded earlier during the session.
    Am I wrong?
My other camera has a looping mode (it can't do anything else) where it keeps on recording in 5min clips until the µSD is full, than starts overwriting the oldest clip.
This means I have always the last 8 hours of video on the µSD.

Im well aware. I rode for 2 hours this morning. Sometimes I will right for 4 or 5.

I ride along, 30 minutes in, oh I wanna keep that last 5. Then resume loop recording mode. Etc.
