Jerky video (hidden diagnostic page shows RAM fail ?)

jerky when reviewing the footage on the Virb itself or jerky when playing back on your computer?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like only jerky on the computer - I will playback on another computer.

try playback with different programs. On a not so new HP workstation using Windows Media Player I experienced choppy playback. Apple Quicktime fared a little better playing the Virb videos.
(I also get the RAM fail message when entering Diagnostic mode, but I am not sure what it means...)

Mine was fine until the latest update of the Virb (hardware).

Old video still play fine, new video is the same jerky in the same spots in both Virb Edit and Media Player Classic.

Other than updating the Virb, nothing else changed, same memory card, etc.

I'll bring this to the attention of the firmware guys. There is not much else I can do to help, unfortunately.

Just to double-check: even the unedited video from the camera (without overlays) plays jerky in 3rd party video players?

Ok, so last night I used the Garmin Edge 510 as the remote to turn the camera on and yes, the raw footage with third party viewer had the same jerky footage


Tonight I used the big switch on the side and did not involve my 510 and the video was fine

I put in a new xc card (the previous one was class 10 but HC) and that seems to have solved my problem.
