I tried searching the forums but came up empty. I apologize if this has already been reported.
When the g-meter is being displayed, it looks like the orange ball can't cross the mid-line for lateral g's on the lower half of the "g circle". I know that sounds confusing, but watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2J_LrYHPjIg&list=UUO6NwHCfZuK5dtRTHECGnfg
You can see that any time the ball is on the lower half of the circle, it can't wiggle left and right. It goes up and around the circle to get to the other side of the mid-line, which makes it look like there are huge swings in the g forces. When in reality, the ball should just be wiggling back and forth a little.
