I've got an error just playing a video of two imported clips.
Both clips are from my VIRB Elite.
The first one was playing fine when I decided I had seen enough and I wanted to have a look a bit further on the timeline.
So I clicked there and the error occurred.

I still can switch between the clips. I can move the point on the timeline and the picture changes accordingly.
I can't play it in this screen.
I can play the preview but than I see the old bug showing both tracks in both video's.

Switching to the gallery and back makes the grey overlay and the message disappear, and the video just plays fine.
I've tried to reproduce the error, but no luck (or lucky for now no errors).

Software Win7x64Pro VIRB Edit 2.3.2.0 VIRB Elite software 3.20
As I made the video holding the VIRB Elite in my hand, the video has a lot of movement.
Probably the movement is to slow for the stabilisation to work.

Now I have to find the error-log...

    EDIT: found the log..
BTW I had an earlier crash today, doing all things at once (don't even remember what, something with deleting clips and movies) that made VIRB Edit crash.
    These logs are also included.

We are trying to chase down that playback error. It's definitely a known issue, but as you've seen yourself it's hard to repro and thus hard to fix and verify the fix.

    Yes I know, just testing.
Last week I had an opreration, so no motorbike for me for a while.
I will need the camera to work as it should in the second half of june and only in fotoburst mode but with remote.
The rest is just testing and having fun.
So I'm not really in a hurry.

    Now for the statistics.
Video recorded with VIRB Elite at 1080p 30fps (just the VIRB, no external sensors, no remote)
    Clip1 14:14min
    Clip2 11:50min
Imported into VIRB Edit, (not deleted from the VIRB) (VIRB Edit placed them on the harddisk)
    Total video time 26:05
Used an overlay (the 2nd from General)
Rendering time 44min. (I know you're working on it)
The exported video does not have the track bug (all tracks shown in all clips), each clip only has it's own track.

    The PC:
    i7 870 @ 2.93GHz
    16GB RAM
    Win7 x64 Pro
    Window index:
    CPU 7.5
    RAM 7.5
    GPU 7.0 Aero
    GPU 7.0 Games
    HDD 5.9 Pimairy HDD
    Secondary HDD sata300 RAID controller with 5x 500GB SATA300 in RAID5
Core usage during export: all 4 cores around 80%

Hi having runtime issues with virb edit, downloaded the latest version.
If I have the map on view I will get a runtime error, tried both bing and google maps but no difference there.
Can only use the software if I hide the map, is this a known problem?

Not to me, but you might want to zip the errorlog and send it to garmin.
Error logs can be found here: C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Temp\VirbEdit\2.3.2\
Best to start VIRB Edit again and let it crash, than go to the directory and zip the log to preserve it.
If FALAGAR isn't familiair with this error he probably want you to send him the (zip) file.

Well, you might be on to something. Would you mind taking a screenshot of the error? And you can reproduce this every time?

And you say this only happens when the map is turned on? We've been looking for issues with the player, but from what you are saying it looks like it's the map control that is causing trouble.

Just as a clarification: that log file is for export errors, so it's only marginally useful if you are running into issues outside of export (or upload).

    Falagar,

    Sorry for the late reply.

    Here's a screenshot of what I get.

No problem at all. Yep, that's definitely the error I was thinking of.

We'll try to repro this with the map.
