Time lapse and GPS/ANT+ data synchronization

Hi,

One of the features that I love from my recently acquired Virb Elite is the Time Lapse option. It allows me to resume a ride of two hours in a few minutes video and show it to my friends & family.

The problem is that Time Lapse is incompatible with one of the other features that I love: GPS/ANT+ sensors video integration. I'm not sure, but I think that this integration is made just synchronizing video time and GPS & ANT+ time and then superimposing this information on the video.

The question is that in Time Lapse the video time is accelerated, so this synchronizing is erroneous. For instance, I have a two hours ride that is just eight minutes video in Time Lapse. Therefore in time lapse video the GPS/ANT+ data showed is just the first eight minutes of my ride. Here there is an example of it: https://vimeo.com/84478332

Is there any way that the Time Lapse video shows the real data recorded at the time that each photo was taken?

Besides it would be great to have the option in time lapse video for taking pictures each 0,25 seconds.

Any update to this issue? (Also, will this work on a Virb non-elite and just using an external GPS file?) I am still deciding whether to buy the Elite version because I already have a Garmin watch.

If you want to sync up your data with video the Elite is the best option. I had the non Elite Virb for about 2 days and swapped it for the Elite as messing about with lining up the GPS data with video was fiddly and time consuming for me anyways.

WELL happy with the Elite :D

This should work properly in the current version of VIRB Edit. It shouldn't matter if it's a VIRB Elite or VIRB Basic, although adjusting the track might be necessary for the Basic.
