"updating do not switch off" after 3.10 update. virb elite

Hi
I have just updated my firmware on my virb elite to 3.10 but it now says '"updating do not switch off" and then shows a white exclamation mark in a red circle.

I have tried a reset but when I turn it off, it comes on again automatically.

Please help!

It can take up to 3min to load the update. If it's hanging longer (5min or more), take out the SD card (that's where the update file is on) and format it on your PC/mac. Than put it back in the Virb, now it should start up, u can try to update your Virb again.

You are a superstar. I have been hours trying to google a solution to this and you solved it in minutes.
I am so grateful to people like you who give up your time in forums like this. I bought this for my partner and he is taking it away snowboarding at the weekend and I was so worried it wouldn't be working.

Updating 64MB 10 Class card and newest Firmware...

Have spent the last 4 hours formatting the new card, trying to reinstall new firmware on VIRB. What is the answer GARMIN??? Want this for a trip tomorrow AM, if not going straight back to REI and getting a GOPro!!!
