That was my point too, liking VIRB Edit to have all the professional features but not expecting Garmin to do so.
Title and Credit pages would be nice to include, Windows(7) users could do that in Windows Movie Maker, that is supplied with the OS. Unfortunately it can only save movies as .WMV (Microsofts way to frustrate their users in every way the can)

Don't know, I have though about doing some experiments but the whole overlay is changed in 2.3.
2.3 is supposed to be released at the end of this month.
There are also problems with the fixed limit of 2500W being much too high.
    Maybe I'll have a try.

    I have tried.
There is a banana-shaped power meter with a fixed maximum of 2500W.
This limit is not in the overlay, nor in the widget.
When I use this overlay as speedometer, it acts like other speedometers, max speed in the track is max speed on the scale.
I have tried to put in some fixed values in this gauge, but the changed part is not displayed.
When I try to put a fixed value in the template, the template is not displayed.
So when the program sees the variable "speed" it makes the scale variable.
When it sees "power" the maximum is fixed at 2500W.
If this fixed value is stored outside the program I have not found it.
If I had found it, I could have placed a maximum for speed there and made the power-limit lower.

You can place a point far away from your first point, making this first step 200km/h.
If the gauge still keeps this peak in mind while you cut this away remains the question.
It is worth a try but maybe it's unnessesary because the overlays are changed in 2.3, released end of this month.

    I've tested the theory.
If you place a point one second earlier in front of the start of your track, and subtract (or add) 0.0005 to the "lat" value, that piece your speed will be 200km/h.
The maximum of the gauge goes to 250km/h.
You will get an extra piece of track.
When you trim this track by aligning, the max speed will drop as if the extra point didn't exist.
So next step, place two points in front of the track.
The first (2 seconds before the original point) has the same lon/lat as the original starting point.
The point in between (1 second before the original) has the 0.0005 adjustment.
When you look at the track now, you go 200km/h up, 200km/h down, to the original startingpoint.
If you trim this, you're back where you originally started.
So how to hide the first two seconds of the track.
We adjusted the "lat" to get to 200km/h, we can adjust the "lon" to hide the extra part behind the original.
As the speed will go up a bit, you will need to adjust the "lat/lon" to get the maximim that you want.
If you make a video with this modified track, the track looks like the original.
After you've done the export (with overlay) you need to import the movie to cut away the first two seconds.
Than you need to export it again (without overlay).
The first two seconds of your video will be lost, so if you want them, place a 2 second clip in front of your original video before exporting it with the overlay.

How to adjust the speedo (higher fixed value)

    How to adjust the speedo:
    • Open your track in a text editer.
    • Duplicate the first point of your track twice.
    • Now you have 3 identical point at the beginning of your track.
    • remove all the lines except for those in the example <trkpt lat="52.123456789" lon="5.123456789">
      <ele>10.1</ele>
      <time>2013-09-29T12:49:46Z</time>
      </trkpt>

    • Adjust the "lat" to change the maximum of the gauge. (±0.0005 will set the maximum to 250km/h)
    • Adjust the "lon" to hide the point behind the original track.
    • Adjust "lon" and "lat" to get the desired value.
    • The first 2 seconds of your video will be lost. But you can place a 2 second clip in front of your clip to compensate.
    • Make your movie with overlay with the modified track.
    • Import your movie, cut off the first 2 sec. than export it without the overlay.

Here you see the movie before the 2 second cut-off.
You can see the dot go 213km/h along the track than go back to the start with 213km/h.
From there the track is followed as it should.

Be aware to hide the extra part of the track under the original, otherwise you will have an extra bit of track sticking out.

I'll wait 'till March to but one, also waiting for the replacement of the Zumo 660.
It will be the Garmin version of the BMW Navigator V.
Unfortunately this new Garmin is not announced, people already gave it a name "Zumo 770".
I hope it will have ANT+ to use it as a remote for the VIRB (Elite)

On request I've made a new overlay. It also has a new widget, making the outer circle complete.
I'ts in the Mac part of the forum.

Does anyone knows how to include training zones overlay in Virb Edit?
