How long should it take to Export a video (where "Export Video to MP4" is displayed)? A few days ago, I tried a quick 4-minute video, and it took over an hour to export. Today, I did a 36-minute video, and based on the fact that it's up to 2% done, it's going to take over 10 hours! That just doesn't sound right. I am doing a GPS overlay displaying pace and speed. It strongly depends on your PC, just exported a 5min movie made of 3 clips. It took about 3 min while the virisscanner was doing a full system scan. i7 870, Win7 Pro x64, 16GB RAM.
This is really hard to answer. It highly depends on the machine you have, what graphics card you have, if you are resizing the video and a number of other factors.
Bottom line: it's certainly much slower than we'd like it to be. For a 36-minute 1080p video with overlays on low-core, low-GPU machine what you describe would not be unheard of.
