Virbedit application/program will not launch.

I am trying to use the Virbedit. I got my Virb as a Christmas gift but have been unable to get the software program to launch on my computer. I am using Windows 7 and have gone into Windows update to update the Microsoft .NET to 4.5.1. I have restarted the computer repeatedly and I continue to get a blue screen that says contacting Garmin then it gives a lot of computer gibberish.

I really am at a loss as to what more I can do. Can't use the Virb if I can't use the software to edit the videos.

only thing I can suggest is to uninstall Virb Edit, delete the Virb Edit folders out of the AppData\Local and AppData\Roaming folders, REBOOT and then download and install a fresh download of Virb Edit.

@RUN50: please don't cross post.

As I answered to your other post:
For now, don't connect your VIRB, put the SD card in your PC and use it with VIRB Edit in that way.
Maybe you can make a printscreen or a digital photo of the errorscreen and post it here so the developers can see it and deal with the error. VIRB Edit is still much in the process of creation, features are added and bugs are fixed, but still there are bugs. There are problems with some graphics cards, with the audio from the clips not being exported and more.

Hold on. cross posting is not a problem.
an understanding of the post is the problem here.
we cannot install virb edit on our computers.
weather i put the sd card direct in my laptop or whatever, i dont have virb edit on the laptop.
thats all !

I'm in the same boat. Xmas pressy which i can not really use if the virb edit is not working.. Firstly i had to buy windows 7 $$$$ then a pro memory card $$$$ then
i'm excited to download virb edit 225.... happy happy happy... then open it and it open a blueish box with Garmin word in the middle of it and it starts extracting files
and goes all the way to 100% and disappears... Me waiting for GRAND OPENING........... nothing......... full deletion and retried..... rebooted...... nothing...
Went past my old mans place told him and he tried on his Alienware thingy $$$$$ and BOOM it works for him in 3mins flat... i've been mocking around for 2 days now
and i'm close to buying a new computer and it's totally pis...ng me off. i'm not the smartest tool in the shed but this should be easy for anyone ...
anyway i gave garmin a call and she admitted there are problems and they are working on it... i'm happy with straight out honesty and not making up stories..
any new ideas why it's not opening so i can use it ??

I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with the installation of VIRB Edit.

We would like to fix the issue, but will need a little more information to get this fixed.

Could you post screenshot of the error message? Make sure the "computer gibberish" is visible. If you can copy/paste the error message that might also help.

Well, due to i had to install windows 7 3 days ago the computer is doing alot of updates and last night she did 132 updates and a big completion
this morning when i turned her on... So i quickly asked virb edit to restart so i can give you exact info and BLOW ME DOWN she extracted the files
the same way as before up to 100%. But it opened up Virb edit 225 and i watched the intro... Excellent news so far, can not wait to test it out..
So it looks like it might of been a windows issue maybe?.. anyway if any more dramas come up I will post up the information "Cheers"

tried to copy and paste the error report but it wont give me the option to do that !
are you aware of the exact problem ?? seems like a windows fault from the previous fault ??
