Verb elite 3.10 update at own risk!

Update

Re formatted memory card+ factory reset. Not locking up now.
But altimeter indicates 170ft though I am at 10 ft above sea level. Please fix this soon.

Does anyone know the differences between 3.0 and 3.1?

it must be a critical bug fix release. because they removed the 3.00 and just replaced it with 3.10 with the same release notes :(

Caution, achtung, caution

CAUTION! Do not delete your video from Virb Elite with Virb Edit. VE vers 2.2.5 and FW 3.10. I thought I had transferred the video to my PC but when playing back in Virb Edit with the Camera disconnected got a message, can't find video. Reconnected Camera and video resumed playback. Video file was truncated at 3.6 gig. but never transferred to my PC.

Gave it another try, reformatted the memory card Class 10 64 gig and ran a short 75 meg video file and no problem with transfer so it might just be the file size

Just updated mine, will get out today and give it a test. From what I have been noticing, it seems some work on some cams, others have issues. Makes no sense to me either.

Firmware v3.00 was replaced with v3.10 for undocumented reasons.
Changes made from version 2.80 to 3.10:

Maybe it was what I ran into Friday. After installing 3.0 and trying to pair with my GSC-10, I found that the GPS was unable to lock. So I rode with the VIRB sensing both the HR belt and the GSC-10, but with no position information at all. 3.1 has fixed that; Sunday it locked and both ANT+ sensors were recorded. Now all they need to do is give us some way to calibrate the altimeter, or auto calibrate as well as my Fenix does...

I just received my VIRB Elite today and have been playing around with it.

When figuring out how to doing any editing with it with the computer I found the VIRB Edit software. Downloaded that, plugged in the VIRB, clicked on buttons, then the unit started doing the FW update.

Now the unit is on 3.10 (I assume) and the setup menu went away. When I turn the unit on and press the menu button I only see VIEWFINDER, DASHBOARD and WIFI. Anyone else on 3.10 seen this?

If it matters, I've also managed to pair it with my Android phone, which makes it a pretty sweet remote camera.

If you have wifi enabled, the settings are disabled. But you can use the phone to change settings.
As soon as you disable wifi, the settings menu will reappear.
