    I dont know why but.
    Dell OptiPlex 745 ( Intel GMA 3000 gpu ) Windows 8 / 8.1 Virb edit 2.1.1+ ( 2.2.0 and 2.2.3) not start up, 2.1.1 works fine same thing if u use Windows 7 64bit os.

Another machine with Asus P5kpl-AM-epu ( Intel GMA 3100 gpu ) windows 7 64bit virb edit 2.1.1 works fine, 2.2.3 not start or star and shut down. When I install pci-e radeon hd3850 for that asus board, virb edit 2.2.3 works fine.

Something problems with intel chipset and intel gma 3x00 series gpu ? that new version of virb edit :)

That's some great piece of information! Thanks. That should set us on the right path.

Guess I'm waiting for the next version. Still same problem. Program immediately crashes if I try to export. I'm running Windows 7, ATI Radeon 4890 graphics card, Intel quad core processor. All Windows updates are up to date and so is the driver for my video card.

    lost over lays

So you got the overlays to work then? Was there a bug in the software and what did you do to fix it?

apparently the VE didn't grab the GPS tracks. but from the 2.2.2 I still had a video with the GPS track. Will do some more testing today.
  • 223 in windows 7 loads and then exits immitiately. de installed 223 and re installed 222 now working! 223 has problems.
Garmin please correct this and release 224

  • I changed (according to the procedure described previous here)

    C:\Users\Henrik\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VIRB Edit

    to

    C:\Users\Henrik\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VIRB Edit backup

and after running 2.3.3 again it creates a new VIRB Edit folder and now works ;)

I attached a picture of the content of the new "empty" folder and the backed up folder

    // HKOCH
  • Now a comparison of the new and the backed up folder for the same video file

It seems that they changed the case of file paths and the reference to the videos in the XML file.
The one reference refer to a the local on the PC the other refers to the drive letter that the camera gives ?

Thanks for reporting back. We are looking into Windows 8 export issues as we speak.

I have not heard anything more about windows 8 export fix. What is the status? Have you found the problem? When can we expect a solution?

    Computer stats
    windows 8 64bit -current
    intel-i7
    8 GB ram
    intel hd 4000 video card

    Any help would be appreciated.
  • Another issue !

When editing and playing recorded videos with overlay the overlay such as speed does not follow the video ?
I recorded a trip in my car stopping for several red lights. But on the video the car is running 60 km/h when obviously as seen from the video the car is stopped for the red light. Other times on the same video the speed goes down to zero when the car is travelling ? It seems that the sensor data overlaid is out of sync with the video. Has other observed such problems ?
