So you got the overlays to work then? Was there a bug in the software and what did you do to fix it?

    export works now, thanks!
Win7, on a Lenovo Thinkpad X201, Intel graphics

    4. The settings are stored per location. So if you are launching VIRBEdit.exe from different locations, you will get different settings. If you upgrade from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3 the settings should not change.

the settings DID change (I used to have google maps and metric. after the upgrade it was bing and statute)
what do you mean by location anyways? the settings should be stored in the users roaming profile...

    Virb EDIT 2.2.3 issue

Which graphics card do you have?

Sorry FALAGAR, but I think we have a very different time zone!

Today my PC had some windows updates and one of the two files I was trying to export has gone up to 6%. Yesterday was max 2% before stopping.

This is the graphic card installed on my pc: ASUS EAH5670 Series

Just to add some more info, I've had quite the same behavior in my notebook HP Pavilion (W7 64 bit, Core i5-2450M, Display 17,3 / 1600x900, HDD 750GB / 6142MB, AMD Radeon HD 7470M 1GB).

    I think I'd better wait for 2.2.4...

    Ciao from Sardinia.

The settings are stored in the user's profile. What I said about location was addressed to PA3FBO who was running different versions at the same time and they are installed in different locations. This is not something a user would normally encounter.

We will double-check that the settings don't get changed when upgrading when we release 2.3. Thanks for letting us know there is something awry.

    Thanks, Giovanni.

Yes, definitely a different time-zone, but that's not a problem.

It might be a few days till this happens, but we'll try to get a diagnostic build going that we can send to you. That build will tell us a bit more about why export is failing for you and hopefully lead us to a fix.

OK, I'm sure you will fix that. So I wait this new feature.
    Thanks for now.

This did not happen with 2.2.2 (or whichever version you had installed previously)?

For diagnostic purposes, would you mind trying the following:

    1. Make sure VIRB Edit is not running (that is probably a given as it does not start, but I want to make sure).
    2. Rename the folder C:\Users\{Your Name}\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VIRB Edit to something else. Like "VIRB Edit Backup".
    3. Then try to launch 2.2.3 again.

That folder contains the application's database. I am curious if there is an issue with the database or if there's something else going on.

You can then rename the folder back to its old name.
