Very disappointed - USB lockups/General Lockups

Extremely disappointing.



My VIRB Elite has arrived. No matter what I do, as soon as I plug it in to USB port (Windows 7 pc - 2 of them) it locks instantly - device manager doesn't even get to recognise a new device. To add insult to injury, the device also seems to lock up occasionally just in normal use as well so I can't even just copy out the data from the SD card.



I've reset it back to defaults, allowed it to format the 64gb Samsung card and acquire sat locations and makes no difference.



Very, VERY frustrating. Any ideas?



(I suspect it's probably fixed by firmware but I can't get new firmware on it!)


p.s. Search isn't working for me in IE10 or Firefox.

    I am very sorry that you're having trouble with the VIRB camera.

    I would definitely try to update the software using WebUpdater (www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=931). If this is not working because the camera never connects as a mass-storage device then I would just contact Product Support. Link is in my signature.
