Videos rotated 180 degrees on Import into VIRB Edit, but not into local folder

Good afternoon - I’m trying to understand how I need to alter my approach to ensure my videos are not importing inverted. This could be a setting on my GoPro (something I’ll need to figure out outside of this forum) or a setting in VIRB Edit. I have tested two scenarios:

  • When mounted on bike with the locking screw below the camera - My videos import into a folder on my computer and into VIRB Edit correctly…no issues with this mounting option
  • When mounted on bike with the locking screw above the camera (out front combo mount from K-edge housing both my Garmin head unit and my GoPro) - My videos import into a folder on my computer correctly, but inverted once loaded into VIRB Edit. One thing I want to call out here, I’ve attempted to test the auto locking for rotation feature by turning it on and off and seem to get the same result….the videos load into a folder oriented correctly but not into VIRB Edit….so I’m unsure what to try next.

I have a feeling it’s something super simple because I’m struggling to find articles/videos touching on this subject, making me believe I’m the only one having this issue…haha. Either way, if anyone out there has advice on how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated. I’m spending way too much time rotating each segment. Lastly, let me know if I need to provide more details to help solve this opportunity I having. Thanks!
