I shoot nearly all of my dirt bike rides. Not much happens in them, but they show the trails and my buddies.
My Garmin Virb Ultra 30 will shoot UHD, which is a resolution of 2700. I know that when I use this setting, the resulting video files are much bigger than at 1080, and the battery gets used up a lot faster. And when editing the resulting video, the edit/rendering step takes many times longer than it does at 1080.
Its obvious from looking at the resulting file (rendered with H.265) that it looks great on my computer before I upload it to YouTube, but it looks a lot worse when I play it after processing.
So the obvious question is: does YouTube deliver anything higher quality to justify the extra processing, reduced battery life, etc.?
