Hi,
We are using the VIRB 360 to display recorded data in our GIS Application. Therfor we convert the fit to gpx (using gpsbabel) and import the data into a Postgres Geodatabase. Unfortunately sometimes the fit files do not have the correct timestamps.
So my questions are:
- what can be the reason a fit file has wrong timestamps? I read somewhere here that it might be that the cam sometimes uses the internal timestamp sometimes the timestamps from the gps signal - might this be the case?
- even though a fit file has wrong timestamps GARMIN VIRB EDIT is able to match the 360° video with the fit file - how does that work? is there some kind of metadata inside the fit file with a reference to the video file?
Thanks in adavance.
Best Regards
Bernd
