Virb Edit is not the product which causes it´s lifecycle. It´s the camera(s)!
The Virb Ultra is from 2016. GoPro released two new versions since that.
Virb 360 is from 2017 and the latest updates on Virb Edit has been features/bugfixes for this very camera. I think they will not proceed with new models, which will cause no further updates for Virb Edit :-/
Sad if that is true, because even today, the Virb 360 is one excellent camera, shame the software is dead. This will lead to a camera without software and forcing us to go to competing products.
The current version of VirbEdit is been reported that it does not work at all on the latest Windows 10 version
It´s even worse! Garmin stopped rolling out the Virb control widget for their new watches.
This cannot be more clear: Garmin gave up this marked!
If you had actually looked at the tech specs & manuals for the new watches then you would know that the virb widget is on the ForeRunner 245/645/945 and fēnix 6 series, but isn't on the VA4/Venu; so you're only partially correct.
Good to know.
But even less understandable, that the very first VA got the widget, the Vivoactive HR and also the Vivoactive 3. But not the successor?
So this might be just a mistake
Crap. I just got my Ultra 30 and have had a few issues with the software that I was hoping would be resolved. Guess that ship has sailed.
