I'm getting a Google Maps error when trying to import a G-Metrix log (gpx file). I see the map for a fraction of a second and then it shows the following message (see attached image). Has this happened to anyone else and have you been able to resolve the issue? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1383490.png
12 days so far and still only the "we are looking at it" response. I have also raised a ticket on Garmin, no response. This really is incredibly poor from Garmin. Ever since they discontinued the Forerunner 305 (surely the best running watch ever) their products have appeared to be characterised by too-early launches, too many products and not enough support. I am off to try this Dashware.
if you convert a file from one format to another it does not affect the content of the file...just the way it is packaged. To be honest I am now perfectly happy with Dashware so unlikely to go back to using Virb Edit.
Today, after I read the message from Frank I started Virb Edit and it worked... I made 1 video, and now (in the evening) I started Virb Edit and the same Google error is back in the house... grrrrrrrrr...
I've downloaded also DashWare but I can't import a .JPG that I made for the intro/outro by a video, damn.
After seeing this error a few days ago and then reading about the issue on garmin forums, I dug into the VirbEdit.exe and found the issue actually rather simple to resolve. Anyhow, if you're interested in a bit of the decompiled code and my conclusions, check a similar post over on the mac side of this forum:

Doesn't work for me. Windows 8.1 64 bit / VirbEdit 5.4.2. Same issue. If I click GMetrix Sync, it renders a map then reports JavaScript error. Hitting F5 to refresh, just repeats the error.Should I re-install?
...ok editing post. I re-installed VirbEdit, and now the symptom has changed. Now I no longer get a JavaScript error, but my flight path overlayed upon a grey background which says "for development purposes only"
and to add to that, I just zoomed out, and do see a basic map, that doesn't look pretty.
