All of the videos I've exported from footage shot recently on track with my VIRB XE have been very dark, regardless of what combinations of settings (resolution, frame speed, quality, etc.) I use. This is especially true on partly-cloudy days when the light coming through the windshield varies significantly as the car traverses the track. Is this a problem that anyone else is experiencing? If so, any clues on how to fix the problem will be greatly appreciated.
Footage from action cams are indeed a bit darker, then from a smartphone. But I don´t have problems with that on the outside. You can take a look here, also on a racetrack with a XE.
1080p or 4k. 4k only when I got some clips from my phone in it. Maximum Quality. There is not much more in Edit.
But you can setup the Virb XE´s brightness. I got all on stock, except auto stabilization. In my opinion it makes the quality worse, then it helps. Virb X would be enough!
