5.4.2 issues with speed guage

YAY! 5.4.2 has been released So I can start to stitch all my videos that have been building up over the last month!

BOO - speedo seems to be going mental and is showing in KPH rather than MPH.

I exported the attached video racingForTheGreen today and as you can see the speedometer is in KPH (I checked my settings and they were miles, I changed settings to KPH then back again with no effect).
The speedo is also jumping around all over the place for some reason.

This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLuCD4FitIQ that I exported recently has no issues with the speedo.

This is really annoying - I have been waiting for quite a while for this update. It now seems that I won't be able to export anything with speed on it (although at least 360 stitching should work now)

  • 5.3.1 is working for me - I won't spend the effort to go to 5.4.2

    Hi Roaders,

Thanks for reporting this issue. I have not been able to reproduce it on my end yet, but I'm still looking into it. Could you answer the below questions and try the troubleshooting steps below when you have a minute?

    1. Is the camera you recorded the clips with set to PAL?
    2. What Region is your PC set to (ie: English - United States)?

Troubleshooting: Try clearing your G-Metrix Cache:
    1. Close VIRB Edit
    2. Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Garmin\VirbEdit\
    3. Delete the GMetrixCache folder
    4. Start VIRB Edit up again and see if you're still having the KPH issue
