Can't delete unwanted videos from VirbEdit

I've repeatedly deleted videos from my gallery and from the media library, but each time I start VirbEdit I get a pop up saying that videos in my gallery cannot be found and would I like to change the default save location. No matter which option I choose, including closing the pop up, the videos are still there. I've removed the videos from my PC, and searched to ensure they're not still there, but the same thing happens. I've uninstalled VirbEdit, run CCleaner, restarted, reinstalled VirbEdit...............and the same thing happens!!
How on earth do I get rid of these videos? How can they still be there when I've deleted the source files, deleted within VirbEdit, and even deleted VirbEdit itself?
  • The place that VirbEdit looks to see what videos it should be able to find is the VirbEdit database located at C:\users\<your username\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VirbEdit\Database

If you delete that folder, VirbEdit will be in a completely clean state when you start up. Obviously that means any videos you made will be gone, but it doesn't sound like you care about that too much. Doing this will definitely get rid of the problem you are seeing.

That said, this behavior is a bug. If you deleted from within VirbEdit, it should not be looking for them anymore, but I seem to recall seeing this problem at some point in the past. Before you blast your database, would you mind going to File->back up database... and send me the file it makes? I'd like to look into this and see if we can handle this situation more gracefully.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've backed up the database, and removed the files from C:\. This has solved the problem, as the videos no longer appear in VirbEdit.
However, I've tried to send you a PM with the .db file attached, but after a few seconds I get the error message; Invalid file data backup.virbdb
  • I'm still not able to upload the .db file, but I guess if you PM'd me with an e-mail address I could send it that way?

EDIT No, as the file is 35Mb I can't even send it via e-mail...........it's too big.

Any news about a fix for this bug?
