Virb Edit exports stereo audio wrong

Hi,

I have added a music soundtrack into Garmin Virb 360 4k video. Playback mode in Virb Edit app v 5.3.1. works just fine, you can hear the music blasting from both speakers: left and right. When I export video into 4k mp4 (using fmfpeg video encoder) right speaker is silent for some reason. There are no such settings available for audio. Please address the issue. The exported video cacn't be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZJQ4tA0xMI . Thanks!

Thanks for the answer and confirmation. In this case is it possible to add a stereo track in Youtube separately, when 360 videos will be published? Have you faced with this workaround?

The audio in 360 videos is spatialized (ie it sounds different depending on which way you are facing in the video). The problem isn't that the stereo track is missing, its actually there. We are failing to write a spatial audio atom to the mp4 file so the audio cannot be correctly interpreted when it plays.

Thanks for explanation. Hm....in this case common stereo file will not be compatible in this situation. Should I find special 360 music format?

Windows VIRB Edit 5.4.2 is Live, it contains a fix for the audio issue, please go check it out here:
    https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=6591

Please be aware, I use VLC player to playback 5k and 5.7k exports. I've run into a few bugs in the latest VLC player that only occur with 5k and 5.7k video playback. These bugs are VLC player bugs, not VIRB Edit bugs and do not occur when sharing to YouTube.

Issues I've run into using the latest VLC player:
    1. Green artifacts in the intro and outro when viewing 5k and 5.7k clips
    2. Sound from one speaker sounds a bit low

    Fixed, confirmed!

    I've downloaded ver. 5.4.2 - 23/05/2018

Sound plays good. Left-Right for Stereo mode. :-)

    Thanks for fix. :-)
