Set the output after edit to uncompressed

OK so the video is compressed on the fly by my Gamin Virb X, what I'd like Virb Edit to do is not compress it further, even with MAX quality setting used, it still shows compressed artifacts, and that's before I use another editor to add more camera angles, transitions, music etc.

By the time I've finished and uploaded it to YouTube it's been compressed 3 times... please add a setting that doesn't compress the the files further in Virb Edit :)

By the way, holy crap what a camera, I wish I'd bought this ages ago.

It would be OK to compress the output. But:

Virb Edit does not rely on the YouTube Specs
The compression Codec should be the same on the camera and Edit

On my videos, you can see the asphalt quite good. After uploading to YT, there is only one huge artefact I'm driving on. There are some specs how to compress and render a video, that YT does not lower the quality. I asked for that some month (years?) ago...

An example with great weather conditions, sun is shining, exported video is good but result uploaded is quite bad!

wow that is shocking, and I bet those hero blobs didn't last long :)

You could upscale to 4k and upload to YT, they hardly compress 4K video.

Same issue here too, tarmac looks horrible.

Exporting to 4k is far better for gauges, but I could not see much differences to the asphalt artefacts (example, same day, same racetrack 4k).
As I said, the exported result seems fine, the problem gets present after uploading the video. My GoPro videos look quite equal on YT and locally.

I've just bought a Mac Mini, and 1. I'm impressed with the render speed and useability of the editor, it's much smoother than my VERY HIGH END PC. and 2. You can set the output bitrate and therfore vastly reduce the compression artifacts.

Come on Garmin, this is making your product look bad on the PC.
