Hi Everyone,

VIRB Edit release 5.2.0 for Win is now available. You can download it from here. The in-app update should be live as well.

Updates:
• HyperFrame Director Mode - Re-frame video content after filming using smooth camera pans, impressively wide angles, and tiny planets
• RAW Stitching - Import and stitch 360 videos recorded in RAW mode
• Create new custom logo gauges by dragging images into the player view
• Every Update, a new surprise

Now my G-Metrix are gone, but aren't. The recording was imported with G-Metrix, the overlays set and exported successfully, with version 5.1.3.
Yet it disappeared from the G-Metrix tab and if I click "add metrix" there is no file from that day in that list. But I can play the video and the gauges are changing :eek:ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1254100.jpg
• Thank you for this update. I been waiting for this for a long while.
The hyperframe was a unexpected surprise, and very welcomed one too!! However, I cant make it work because I dont understand how to use the dots make the camera pan ... is there a "manual" somewhere?

*scratching head*
• ok got it now ... super mega ultra cool ... im very proud to be your customer right about now <3 <3 <3
• I'm still having problems with those newest versions. I can't hear audio anymore... With 4.2.3 all is fine. Garmin support in Italy doesn't care about my mails. Any help? Thanks!
• I'm in the same boat. Nothing since 4.2.3 works. I'm on a Mac and I know this is the Windows forum but not much activity over there.
• It's a pity, it was a nice software, at least up to version 4.2.3... I'm sorry we can't enjoy newest features, but without audio it's impossible to use it anymore...
I would like to point out that every driver of my pc is up to date, I have an Intel I7 4790 processor with 32GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4600 video card, and I'm on Win7 Pro.
I can play all my Virb XE videoclips with any other media player software without any problems.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi HerrRiebmann. You can try deleting your Gmetrix cache, this usually fixes similar issues I've run into in the past. Backup the GMetrix Cache folder before you delete it, just in case.

Cache location:
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Garmin\VirbEdit\GMetrixCache

Hi Bicio80, sorry you're having issues. Can you try a few troubleshooting steps and answer a few questions?

1. Can you verify you do not have any AMD or Nvidia drivers installed? (Control Panel > Uninstall Program > look on the list for AMD or Nvidia). Supposedly AMD/Nvidia drivers can overwrite the audio drivers for the 4600. The Intel HD Graphics 4600 is not a video card, it's integrated graphics. From doing a couple quick google searches it looks like the 4600 can misbehave or not work at all if you have AMD/Nvidia Drivers installed.

2. Try changing your Encoder and Decoder in the VIRB Edit Settings (Menu > Settings > Media > Advanced) and see if that fixes the issue.

3. Try uninstalling then reinstalling your Intel HD Graphics 4600 drivers or any other audio drivers you may have on your PC (could have been a bad update or install)

4. If you use speakers (ie: speakers inside of a TV or laptop) can you try using headphones and see if you get sound? If you use headphones try speakers and see if you get sound?

5. I'm guessing you don't have a dedicated sound card (ie: Sound Blaster Z)?

6. I'm guessing you get sound from an HDMI cable connected from your monitor to your PC? if so can you try unplugging then plugging it back up? Apparently this has fixed audio issues for people with the Intel HD Graphics 4600 (via google search for HD 4600 hdmi sound issues).
• Just installed it on Windows 10 laptop. All G-Metrix is invisible. Maybe its there, maybe not, but I had a custom template on a project, upgraded the version and now the guages are not there. Deleted the GMetrix cache, restarted VirbEdit, no change. Rebooted computer, no joy. Tried a couple of times swapping between g_Metrix and editing, no joy. Watched something else on YouTube and G-Metrix display is back. Most strange. No idea if this can be reproduced
