Virb Edit will run once only, then have to reinstall just to run it again

Hi Garmin,

I am having this weird problem with Virb Edit.

The app will run once after I install it. When I close it, then launch again (within the same logon, or after logging out and in again, or after a reboot), the cursor will have a the loading icon then nothing. I checked task manager, nothing.

I had to uninstall, then reinstall again, just to have it running again.

This seems to have started on 5.1.3 and still the same on the latest 5.1.4.

Do not get those symptoms on my W10 Laptop upon which I have been able to get 5.1.4 to work. 5.1.3 did not work on this machine - it wouldn't import fresh videos from my VIRB Elite camera.

Seems I found the cause of the problem.

It happened again, Virb Edit will not load. I thought of looking for any logs that may be there so I went to the Program X86 Garmin Virb Edit folder. I sorted the contents to latest to earliest, found that these 2 files were updated when I tried to launch, BUT the file size are both 0 bytes

avcodec-57.dll
avformat-57.dll

What I did next is uninstall, then reinstall Virb Edit again, just like before. But this time before even launching, I saved both files to another folder. Ran Virb Edit, and did videos again.

Closed the app, the launched again. Again, it happened, it won't launch. The files are both 0 bytes again. I copied back in the 2 files then launched again. Voila, it runs again!

Any idea why these 2 files are being overwritten, deleted?
