Sebastian I'm sorry that you're experiencing this issue with VIRB Edit version 5.1.2. A couple of questions:
    1) Was the application splash screen displayed prior to the crash?
    2) Did you see either the "upgrading dialog" or the dialog about detecting optimal video technologies after the first run?

    1) No splash screen.

    2) No i didn't.

I don't know if it have anything to do with this problem, but in previous versions then i worked, it worked much better then i only used one graphics card instead of two via SLI.

Tried to record my desktop how it looks, but video isn't allowed to upload here.

But what happens is that the "circle loading bar" appears for a second and after that nothing more happens, tried to restart and reinstall many times but thats not making any difference.

  • I am experiencing a similar issue with 5.1.2. Version 4.2.3 worked fine for me. When I upgraded to 5.1.2 my screen freezes loading clips at 12%. I have no options to close the program. Then when I close it, and try to re-open it says it is already running. I have to close it in task manager.
  • Happend for me to. But after about 10 min it started up
    MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

I'm sorry you're having issues getting VIRB Edit to start up. The issue you describe sounds like an installer issue that started occurring for a small percentage of users a few builds back (some DLL files were not be overwritten when upgrading via an installer). Can you try this when you have a minute?

Don't worry, you will not lose any videos or clips when performing the below steps:
    1. Uninstall VIRB Edit
    2. Delete the VIRB Edit folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\VIRB Edit)
    3. Install the latest version of VIRB Edit
    4. Start VIRB Edit

Please let us know if these steps fixed your issue

On another note, VIRB Edit is not optimized for SLI or Crossfire so it doesn't surprise me that you're getting better performance when using only 1 card.
  • Hello, sorry for very late response. Thank you for all support.
I tried it all but the fix that finally worked was to completely reinstall windows.
    Maybe this will help someone.

New it runs perfectly using one GPU.
