I'm a new virb user and I was wondering if you can add music from your itunes to virb edit as background for windows computers? Any help would be greatly appreciated

If I recall correctly, itunes music is stored in m4a files. Unfortunately, Windows VirbEdit currently only supports adding mp3 files. I suspect that if you could actually pick an m4a file in the file browser, everything else would work just fine. I'll see if it really is that easy, and if so, maybe we can sneak that into our next release.

There are also lots of free file converters that can make an mp3 file from an m4a if you don't want to wait for us to add a fix to VirbEdit

Quick follow up: this was really really easy to add, so I've made the change. You can expect to see it in the next release. I've actually been meaning to do this for a couple years now, so thank you for the reminder.

Once i have this imported, is it possible to edit the added Music, and maybe move it around in the video? Can i cross fade between two audio tracks, and maybe lower the volume for the Music for one particular Clip?

To the best of my knowledge, you can't do that within Virb Edit. To edit an audio file before marrying it with a video, I bought a program called "Audacity". It works great but is much smarter than I am. There is a steep learning curve.

Just simple cutting and crossfading would be extremely conveenient, as well as being able to Control volume for the individual Clips. The last two videos i've edited i have truly missed this.
Hope this could be a part of the new update were using itunes songs will be allowed.

In the meantime i will try Audacity. Thanks for the tip. :)

Problem i see is that i would need to make the Whole Movie Clip finished, and then add on the song later, and if i edit the video i need to redo the audio timing etc.
