change location of database backup files?

I don't seem to be able to find a way to specify the directory location of database backups.
There is no preference/settings and in the dialog box that pops up, there is no way to select an alternative directory with the usual Windows selection browser dialog.

Is there a way to do this? If not, can we get it in some future version?

When you select Menu -> Back Up Database... part of the process of backing up your database should show a file explorer window that allows you to select the location of your backup file. Is this dialog box not showing up for you? Can you describe what happens once you select "Back Up Database"?

Menu -> Backup database
causes dialog box with "backing up your Vibr Edit database will....." with Cancel and Next buttons
pressing -> Next
gives dialog box talking about
clips and photos will not be included....
with "Current location:" and a text box containing the path to the current location.
It does not display the usual file chooser dialog
the text box is not editable, so you can't even enter a new path by hand.

When you -> Next
from that screen, it does give a standard file chooser dialog. so you can change things, but there is no "setting" for it.

The "Current Locations" text is actually there to inform you where all the video files in your database are located on your hard drive. This is for your convenience so you don't have to remember where you put all your videos. I have videos scattered all over my hard drive, so my "Current Locations" list has many entries. Most people will just have one: the place they import their videos to. From there, it sounds like actually selecting a location for your backup is working ok. Just to make sure I understand, are you wanting a setting that allows you to skip the file chooser dialog and immediately save the back up file to a pre specified place?
