Speedo with averaging/smoothing?

The speed displayed on my dirt bike videos jumps around wildly. It would be more useful and more believable if there was a bit of a smoothing/average function applied. Can this be done? or is there a gauge with it already? Hints and tips anyone?

I had a problem with in accurate speeds. its hard to know what the real speed is supposed to be but some times it was just obviously wrong. like when you are stationary and it says you are going 250 km/h. anyway. I use 3d calculated now and not recorded speed. may help with yours. also make sure your sample rate on your GPS is turned up as high as you can. I don't know if your device can change this but problem can
