    Hi,

So I don't know the answer to your problem but I thought I would throw some comments. it looks like the error is a file could not be found: System.IO.FileNotFoundException

maybe your account doesn't have access or maybe its missing? whatever file it is looking for. have you tried running as admin (don't know if this would make a difference. are you using the same account you installed with? I know there are files referenced in the user'f account folders. I wonder if your account had admin privileges when it installed? maybe it couldn't write all the files?

do you have this work in any machine? if so compare the files installed.

anyway, probably none of this helps. write back if you sort it out

Hello guys. Yes i am admin on 2 separate computers with the same exact error message. I used the same exact media to install both O/S they were both made using the windows 10 update tool that created the windows 10 install iso for the CDs.

I have tried that media pack on both computers and i get the same exact error message.

The O/S should not dictate whether the software should be able to work or not so iam confused. The software should bring everything it needs to use on any O/S. So i am totally lost here and needing help.

    No idea

Hello guys yesi have admin rights. I am getting this same error on two separate machines.

I also tried the Media pack and that didn't work.

I also noticed that localroaming and roaming profiles under the user the Gamin folder wasn't even created this is crazy. That is it s Windows 10 O/S what shuld the N or not matter iam not sure.

I used a Surface that i upgrade to windows 10 and it is working but it is not my editting computer. I need my two main computer to be able to run Virb. I dont understand any of t to be honest.

    @TheWiseFive
Please note the system requirements on VirbEdit's download page include the following:
Software: Windows Media Player 11 or newer, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6

The "N" version of Windows does not have media player installed by default, and we put that specific requirement there because Windows N users have had this problem in the past.
The media feature pack should have fixed the issue if that was the problem though. Did you have a previous installation of VirbEdit on this computer? We've been having problems with the installer not working right if previous versions of VirbEdit are installed, so try uninstalling the old version before installing the new one.

I did try installing both media pack and .net

I never had virb on 2 computers i tried.

I also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 100 times. I also noticed that the localapp local folder and roaming folders never installed the garmin folders either. So i have 2 separate computers doing the same thing.

    *FIXED*

    1) Make sure windows has all windows updates
a)Hit start windows update and make sure everything is up to date
    2) Install Media Pack for Windows N https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231
    3) Install https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53356
    4) Restart then install Virb
  • Windows 10 update

I too had no problems with the Edit software opening until this morning when Stupid Microsoft updated my computer without my knowledge and now it won't work. It appears Garmin will have to update the software to "fix" microsoft's screw up. I hate updates, they cause more problems.
  • kinda works

    Update:
It will sync, but I have to manually start the edit software and let it sit for a little bit and then the software will find it.
