Picture In Picture ??

In viewing Garmin's web site under VIRB Edit software -- One of the features listed and I quote " Multi-camera switchboard: Instantly switch between camera angles or show picture-in-picture ".

I go to the EDIT tab and only have 2 selections -- Video and Audio. The pic on their web site shows a 3rd tab -- -- Multi-Cam.

I'm most interested in the Multi-Cam feature (PnP) as I run 2 in-car camera's in my off-road vehicle -- One is the VIRB Ultra 30 (Forward)and a GP3 (Rearward).

I can create a video clip consisting of several short video clips from both camera's but they string together one after the other. Much prefer to show the rearward camera 1/4 screen overlaid on top of the forward facing camera.

Anyway -- What am I doing wrong/missing in using this software ??

Thanks ........ :)

    Hello SuperDunner,
Our picture in picture feature is not a general purpose "put any video inside any video" feature. It actually requires two (or more) Virb cameras to use. It is designed that way because the data produced by the Virb cameras allows us to synchronize the footage from the cameras with a high degree of accuracy. Other cameras such as Go Pros do not produce this data so we cannot synchronize them this way. Adding a more general use picture in picture feature is definitely doable, but not currently considered a priority feature. Unfortunately, this means that your current camera set up is not one that is supported by the VirbEdit software. You'll have to use some third party software to do what you are trying to do.
