Apply same G-Metrix file to all clips in a video

Is there a way to apply the same G-Metrix file to all clips I am editing as part of a video? I want to use my Garmin Edge 1000 .fit file for the overlays, as I don't want to use the metrics recorded by the Virb Ultra 30 camera. However, it seems like I have to do G-Metrix -> Data -> Import G-Metrix and select my Edge 1000 .fit file for every single clip in the video I am editing, since the clips default to the Virb Ultra 30 metrics. For long bike rides with over 30 clips, this repetitive process is very time-consuming. Is there a way to apply one G-Metrix (.fit) file to all clips in a video? Thanks!

I am using Garmin Virb Edit for Windows v4.2.3.

    +1 for this

with dozens of clips it's a real pain adding edge data one at a time.

    unless there's another way

    +1 for this as well

I also wish that once I sync the image with the first .fit file of my watch, it would automatically correct the same offset to the next clips.

The issues listed in this thread are the single biggest problems I have with virb edit. This would be a huge QoL improvement.
  • +10 for this .. The normal use case for bike touring is to turn off the camera record when stopped for a break - -stop 5 times you've got 5 imports to do which are basically the same data over and over.. Given it takes 3-5 minutes for VIRB edit to cycle around, this can be nearly an hour with a long day of riding and many stops .. just to do the same step over and over ..

+1 I usually record between 20-50 short video clips on a bike ride. The need to manually select my Edge820 fit file for every single video clip as source of G-Metrix data is really pain in the ass.
  • I guess Garmin won´t do that. Because then you would not need a Garmin camera anymore and could take any footage.
Buy a GoPro and use Virb Edit for free. That´s not what Garmin is intended to support.

Even if you owe two or more Garmin cameras, if f.e. the timestamp is not exactly the same, you cannot use picture in picture. That is the really bad side of this prevention.
An easy solution would be, if the camera is remote-controlled (by another virb, watch or edge), to synchronize the timestamp. And allow to change the Gmetrix only if that timestamp fits (like it works on PiP).
Got that timestamp synch idea more then one and a half years ago, but I wasn´t heared. Now the support for Virb X & XE ran out...

Please Garmin, let us apply G-metrix by one click!
