I must be missing something obvious because I can't imagine this functionality doesn't exist. Simply, I want to show a gauge on the first minute or so of my video and then have it disappear and not be there throughout the entire video.
You cannot do that as of now. Only option is to export the HUD as a transparent sequence of PNGs and import enough of the transparent PNGs for the first minute and original video into a different editor and stitch it in there manually.
