This is a spin off from my thread about the inaccurate GPS plotting with my new Ultra 30 as part of the difference is introduced by Virb Edit not plotting the same locations as what is contained in the input FIT file.
That thread contains examples of where the map and coordinates output in the GPX file differ, in one particular location, from what is recorded by the FIT file on the camera.
I'm running Virb Edit 4.2 on a Windows 10 system.
