Garmin Virb Edit/Virb Elite problems

Hi There,

I have just bought a garmin virb elite and only have an 8gb card for now.

I have imported any runs on to my laptop on windows as mp4.

I have tried downloading virb edit and every time i try to open it it asks to uninstall and i get a message saying Modify setup

What am i doing wrong, as the virb edit works on my iphone!!

I cannot even play the imported mp4 files on my laptop?? What is happening?

Windows Issue

Can you install other programs?
IF so download a free cleaner called ccleaner from piriform. Run that over your system and clean the registry with it as well. Reboot your pc. Uninstall the virb software from programs and features first if you can.
Then download and install a fresh copy of the software.
As for playing other videos you are probably missing codecs.
I would suggest downloading and install k-lite codecs. This link will get you an installer package. It's clean and safe. https://ninite.com/klitecodecs/ if the link doesn't work goto ninite . com and click on k-lite codecs and click download.

The issues you are having are really just windows issues. What windows version are you running? Be sure to run all the windows updates as well.

IF you still can not install programs than it is usually a corruption in windows to do with the msi installer. This can be fixed but it is tricky. If its been a few years since your computer was reformatted than I would suggest doing that.
I need to know more about your system though to help any further.
