Why can't I download clips wirelessly with VIRB edit for Windows?

My PC and two VIRB XE on my bike are connected to my wireless home network.

Why can't I download clips wirelessly with the Windows version of Virb? The Android app allows this...but not my PC with all my storage?

Ps - my cameras are hard wired to my ebike battery...so I'd never need to disconnect the camera....except that VIRB edit won't download clips wirelessly.

    Thank you for your feedback!

That's definitely a feature we have thought about and would like to bring to our users at some point. I cannot promise when though.

Sorry for not being able to give you a more satisfying answer.

    wifi speed

I believe when the phone is getting the file it is a cut down version, lower quality and lower resolution. But because your phone has a tiny screen it still looks good.

It would take an extreme amount of time to transfer 64GB's of video files across wifi to your pc. There are so many factors at play and it wouldn't be feasible.
You'd need high spec wireless AC compatible devices on the virb, the wireless access point and your computer/laptop, to achieve this and then all your devices, the modem/access point included all within a couple of meters of each other to
at least transfer at speeds close to a usb cable.

I have gigabit network to the PC and Eero WiFi to the garage via Cat6. Should be good.

Also, I don't mind if it takes all night even if I didn't. I always know I can use the USB if I need speed.

I did not know about the lower quality of the mobile app clips. Thanks for sharing!
