Virb Ultra 30 Photo Lapse video

Last night I tried out the Photo Time-lapse (Type=Night) on my Virb Ultra 30, which ended up creating hundreds of photos. I went into Virb Edit and assumed it would auto stitch these photos together, however it did not. Is there something I missed?

I did try creating a video by adding all the photos(clicked first photo, SHIFT, and than clicked the last photo), but doing this put them in reverse order(newest photo to oldest photo). Also each photo had a default time of 3 seconds and no way to change all the times at once. One other issue was the lowest time I could use was 0.1 seconds which would be 10fps, which ideally i wanted 0.033 seconds for a 30fps video.

Does anyone have any experience with creating a Photo Time-lapse video?
  • You have nearly the same setting in the video menu, like you´ve used in the picture setup.
Change it to 1 picture every 2 Seconds, or whatever and start the video recording.

Then you will receive a video and not thousands of images.
  • That wouldn't work for night shots though, the issue is there is no exposure time setting for the video mode. The only one I found that you could take night time lapse was in the Photo group (type=night).

You are correct. There's no Night video time-lapse option. You could export the video as it is playing backwards, re-import it as one clip, select the option to reverse playback and export it again. Cumbersome, but better than rearranging the pictures one at a time.
