I'd like to use VIRB Edit to create time lapse videos from individual photos (and GPS data), but it looks like I would need to change the duration of each photo individually. Is there any trick to batch-processing or even changing the default duration setting when working with photos in VIRB Edit instead of videos?
I'm also looking for this solution. The whole purpose of extended time lapse photos is to conserve the meager Virb battery life. Is there no way to batch edit all the photos in a clip to only show for .5-1 second instead of the factory default of 3 seconds?
I'm pretty sure I've done something similar a long time ago in windows movie maker. Dump all the photos and I'm sure you should be able to batch edit these?
Virb Edit is pretty poor as a video tool. The only decent thing about it is the metric additions.
Maybe worth paying for a decent video / photo package for better processing. I'm certainly considering it.
I was hoping that Virb Edit would make a time lapse of my time lapsed photos that I took with the Virb XE but like it was stated in the original, you can but there is a default photo duration for each photo. You would have to manually change each duration, 3 sec is shown on mine, to make a time lapse viable. Having over 1000 images in my time lapse that is not an option.
My FREE work around is that I use GoPro's free edit software. With it you just drop the photos and it does most of the work. Result is some really great TL work. In looking at what I am loosing by not using Virb Edit to me it is just the G-Metrix. For a time lapse there isn't really that much data to show. GPS location can be added via GEO Tagging the video. One thing though that I think would be nice is to have a temp overlay to show temp change over time. Using the Tempe Sensor I did a video of a sunrise and had the temp overlay as a test. It was pretty nice.
So until updates are made to Virb Edit, for me using GoPro's edit software will be where I make my time lapse videos.
2) export geotaged photos from timelapse that aquired gmetrix. Witch should be done by default by the camera but there seems to be a bug that tags all with the same coords. Nonsense.

Captcha each time you've to post is a TERRIBLE IDEA.

I've been able to do a geotaged timelapse!!
I'm preparing a tutorial, its not too hard!!
Still unable to do a timelapse from video exported frames but I think I could handle!
I've also been able to show the track on google earth! and export to CSV!!
Very cool Pauleras! Sadly, there are some licensing issues with us using google maps / earth directly in our software, so we have to leave that particular feature to our users.
